I am definitely not where I expected to be at this point in my life, which has turned out to be a great thing.

Right out of college, I started on a completely unplanned career path in animal welfare by taking a part time job at a smallish shelter in Corvallis, Oregon. After over 6 years there, I followed up with a nearly 5 year stint at Willamette Humane Society in Salem, Oregon. Now I am starting my third animal welfare assignment, this time far outside my native Oregon, at Maui Humane Society.

In my down time, I am the wife of a very tolerant man and pet parent to two dogs (an English Mastiff and a 5 pound puppy mill Yorkie mix), 5 cats, and a varying assortment of foster critters.
